I'm rocking the chop on 13/05/2025
I’m shaving my head to help those in need 💜💛
This May, my Mum and I will be shaving our heads together. I will be doing it as part of Cancer Council's Ponytail Project and my Mum as part of her current chemotherapy treatment.
Early 2024, my Mum was diagnosed with breast cancer for the third time after two previous diagnosis' in 2002 and 2009. A few months later my Dad was diagnosed with prostate cancer. While my Dad has since been cleared and recovering, my Mum is still powering through.
It is extremely special to be able to take part in this year's Ponytail Project not just to raise awareness and donations, but also in support of my Mum.
My parents are the bravest people I know and taking part of this year's Ponytail Project makes me feel extremely privileged to be able to help those in need.
All funds raised will go towards cancer research, prevention programs and support services. This means everything from transport to get cancer patients to and from their medical appointments, to assisting childcare facilities to keep kids safe from the sun.
