I'm rocking the chop to raise awarness about cancer!

Did you know that 1 in 2 Queenslanders will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime?

I’m taking part in Cancer Council’s Ponytail Project campaign to raise funds that will support Queenslanders impacted by cancer.

Throughout the year, I’ll be growing my hair as long as possible, alongside peers all across Queensland, before chopping off my ponytail and rocking the chop. Every ponytail chopped will make a difference to the lives of people affected by cancer #chopforchange.

When a family member of mine was diagnosed with brain cancer it shifted my world. Knowing that so many Aussies are constantly affected by cancer and have gone through the same experiance, I feel that by rocking the chop is my way of showing support and spreading awareness.

All funds raised will go towards cancer research, prevention programs and support services. This means everything from transport to get cancer patients to and from their medical appointments, to assisting childcare facilities to keep kids safe from the sun.

I know that I can help create change.
