I'm rocking the chop on 13/05/2025

I’m rocking the chop to help people affected by cancer and the pain it causes friends and family.

I lost my Grandmother to cancer in December last year, along with my other Grandmother in 2008. My Auntie beat cancer, and I want to be able to give others the same resources, strength, and opportunities to be able to do the same.

On May 13th alongside my whole cohort, I will be taking part in Cancer Council’s Ponytail Project campaign to raise funds that will support Queenslanders impacted by cancer.

Throughout the year, I’ll be growing my hair as long as possible, alongside peers all across Queensland, before chopping off my ponytail and rocking a brand new hairdo. Every ponytail chopped will make a difference to the lives of people affected by cancer #chopforchange.

All funds raised will go towards cancer research, prevention programs and support services. This means everything from transport to get cancer patients to and from their medical appointments, to assisting childcare facilities to keep kids safe from the sun.

I know that I can help create change.
