I'm rocking the chop on 19/07/2024
I'll be rocking the chop this July for a few reasons.
To celebrate my nanny and remember how strong she was during her battle with mesothelioma. For my grandpa, who is a cancer survivor. We are so lucky to still have him here with us because it was caught early. For Alison, my mum's best friend and my second mum. Alison is so strong and determined to kick this bowel cancer in the butt. I'll be chopping 30cm of my hair to help raise money and awareness about this awful disease and to support people like Alison who are currently fighting the biggest battle of their lives. Every cent counts! Thank you for helping raise funds and awareness.
Did you know that 1 in 2 Queenslanders will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime?
I’m taking part in Cancer Council’s Ponytail Project campaign to raise funds that will support Queenslanders impacted by cancer.
Throughout the year, I’ll be growing my hair as long as possible, alongside peers all across Queensland, before chopping off my ponytail and rocking a brand new hairdo. Every ponytail chopped will make a difference to the lives of people affected by cancer #chopforchange.
All funds raised will go towards cancer research, prevention programs and support services. This means everything from transport to get cancer patients to and from their medical appointments, to assisting childcare facilities to keep kids safe from the sun.
