I'm rocking the chop on 19/07/2024
2years ago we lost our beloved Poppy to Cancer, since then I have been growing my hair knowing one day I could be apart of the Brigidine Ponytail Project. So now I’m rocking the chop to put a stop to cancer!
Did you know that 1 in 2 Queenslanders will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime?
I’m taking part in Cancer Council’s Ponytail Project campaign to raise funds that will support Queenslanders impacted by cancer.
Throughout the year, I’ll be growing my hair as long as possible, alongside peers all across Queensland, before chopping off my ponytail and rocking a brand new hairdo. Every ponytail chopped will make a difference to the lives of people affected by cancer #chopforchange.
All funds raised will go towards cancer research, prevention programs and support services. This means everything from transport to get cancer patients to and from their medical appointments, to assisting childcare facilities to keep kids safe from the sun.

Tuesday 16th Jul 3 days to go and $250 off the $3000 goal! I’m determined to hit that goal and am blown away by everyone’s generosity and support! This Friday is the chop, and I can’t wait to Rock the Chop! I even mentioned to mum this week that I’m going to grow my hair again to do this in year 12 again and considering going bald, we will see!
