I'm rocking the chop for all the innocent sufferers.

Did you know that 1 in 2 Queenslanders will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime?

I’m taking part in Cancer Council’s Ponytail Project campaign to raise awareness of cancer and to raise funds that will support Queenslanders impacted by cancer. As someone who has many family members often involved in cancer scares and having lost a dear friend to cancer, I’m chopping 7cm of my hair in memory of them.

From now until May, I’ll be growing my hair as long as possible, alongside peers all across Queensland, before chopping off my ponytail and rocking a brand new hairdo. #chopforchange.

All funds raised will go towards cancer research, prevention programs and support services. This means everything from transport to get cancer patients to and from their medical appointments, to assisting childcare facilities to keep kids safe from the sun.
