I'm going to be shaving my head and dyeing my hair pink!

Cancer sucks! Unfortunately, too many people get diagnosed with this terrible disease each year and in some cases don't recover. My family and I have seen this happen over the years from family to friends and people you meet just as you're walking by. This year I wanted to try and make some difference. In the effort to raise money toward fighting cancer I have promised to shave my head in front of the Pacific Pines High School community. I will dye my hair pink at $200 raised and have set my goal to $500. If you could please donate even a little I would really appreciate your support, along with those this money will go to.

Did you know that 1 in 2 Queenslanders will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime?

I’m taking part in Cancer Council’s Ponytail Project campaign to raise funds that will support Queenslanders impacted by cancer.

Throughout the year, I’ll be growing my hair as long as possible, alongside peers all across Queensland, before chopping off my ponytail and rocking a brand new hairdo. Every ponytail chopped will make a difference to the lives of people affected by cancer #chopforchange.

All funds raised will go towards cancer research, prevention programs and support services. This means everything from transport to get cancer patients to and from their medical appointments, to assisting childcare facilities to keep kids safe from the sun.
